WorldViews: A photographer followed some doctors into Syrian refugee camps. This is what he saw.
More than 130,000 people have died in the war in Syria, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights. The fighting has also displaced an astounding 2.3 million Syrians, many of whom now live in vast refugee camps in neighboring Turkey, Jordan, Lebanon and Iraq. The United Nations says that number is rising by nearly 3,000 people a day, many of whom lack access to basic healthcare.
